This is a photo of the Carthage Jail (located in Carthage, Illinois - 30 minutes away from Nauvoo) where our dear prophet, Joseph Smith Jr. and his brother Hyrum Smith were murdered by a mob on June 27, 1844. Joseph fell from the top window to the ground below to his death by the well. This truly is a sacred place to all of us and is the highlight of many guests visit to the Nauvoo area.

Here I am standing by the well.

Out in front of the Carthage Jail Visitors Center the Nauvoo Brass Band played a concert each Sunday afternoon.

This is the "core" cast of professional actors and actresses of the Nauvoo and British pageants performing for us prior to the start of the pageants in a program called "The Story Goes On..." They were so talented! It was a great program.
