We were able to bring the Nauvoo Brass Band and our Young Performing Missionaries with us to the State Fair. They were like a magnet in attracting people to our site! They are all going home this week - we are all going to miss them soooo much!
This was the ribbon cutting ceremony at the start of the Fair. The Governor, Pat Quinn is in the center in the light blue golf shirt, with his back to us. Miss Illinois State Fair Queen is standing next to Mr Abe Lincoln!
A young sister from our ward here in Mesa is in the band and playing the trombone in the picture above. Sister Marsie Trego. Tell her hello from mesa if you ever meet her!
