"Flat Stanley" arrived this week from my grandson, Weston Port! I have had a visit from "Flat Stanley" in earlier times with other grandchildren, so this was a fun surprise! If you don't know about "Flat Stanley", ask a 2nd grader! He is now part of my life and adventures for the next few days.
Here he is in the "green room" with me as I wait to go on stage for Rendezvous

Hanging out with me and Sister Schultz

He especially liked the Land & Records site and found he had ancestors here in Nauvoo in the 1840s!
He was a big help carving pumpkins in preparation for the big event of "Bootiful Nauvoo" Saturday night. Volunteers carved about 500 pumpkins to be placed all over the Main Street of Nauvoo for this fun event!
The adventures of Flat Stanley will continue next week! He doesn't have to be back in California until Nov 1st
